We finished the ebook and finally published it in January 2025. As the information begins to fall a bit out of date, it doesn't feel right to keep selling it, so we figured why not release all the contents of the ebook here online for free reading?

One of my favorite blogs for the past couple years has been The Chaos League, focused on covering the ins and outs of the NWSL. In between visits to /r/NWSL to catch up on the latest league news, I always check The Chaos League to see what they think

My dream scenario—however far-fetched—was to see a final NWSL championship game between the Portland Thorns and the KC Current at their home stadium this weekend. It would have been legendary, but it required too many surprise wins and losses in two weeks of playoff matches to actually happen.

It's a bit ironic that our final fourteenth stadium visit is one that's just a few hours drive from our home. We've considered coming up to Seattle many times in the past to see the Portland Thorns take on the Reign, but we never

Our last flight to see our thirteenth stadium out of fourteen (our final stadium is a road trip drive to Lumen Field in Seattle next weekend) put us in Washington DC for last night’s game, then Newark, NJ for today’s Gotham vs. Seattle Reign game.

It was a hot humid match at Audi Field in Washington DC as Ashley Sanchez scored the only (revenge) goal against her former squad. The Spirit front line never quite gelled and despite getting plenty of chances, never got any great shots on goal.
The stadium had a great variety

When the NWSL launched in 2013, most teams played at venues one step above a high school soccer field. Thankfully, teams and crowds grew and 13 out of the 14 teams in the league ended up in large stadiums that can handle tens of thousands of fans today.

Louisville is one of my favorite cities to visit and for me this was my fourth trip there to enjoy a match. It was a fine sunny day on the pitch but with Racing's lead goal scorer out, they never really got a groove going and Gotham beat

My ninth stadium in the series is a revisit of a place I’ve been before, the Pride’s stadium in Orlando, Florida. A couple years ago a friend moved to Florida from Portland, and we make a point of going to a game together once a year to catch

To be honest, CPKC was the crown jewel stadium I've wanted to visit since it was first announced a couple years back. It opened for the 2024 season and I really wanted to be at the first game versus the Portland Thorns but didn't end up

drumroll… and with this trip into Houston, we're at the halfway mark of the project, our seventh stadium research visit is complete after a trip to Shell Energy.
Overall, a fun stadium with tons of great local food options and we were lucky to find out it was

For Mother's Day, we took a quick ~12hr trip to LA and back in a single day to take in a match at a place we've always wanted to visit, BMO Stadium (formerly Banc of California stadium aka The Banc) in Los Angeles. It sits next

We‘ve been to a couple games in San Diego in past seasons but for the book I took another quick <24hr trip down to fully document the stadium and spot any changes for 2024. Game-wise, Utah never really got it together and San Diego walked away with the

With the project in full swing, I thought I'd post an update on how things are going, two weeks in.
Four stadium trips are already done and dusted, with two more trips planned this week. In mid-May I'll hit Houston and Kansas City on a single

Flew back from SLC quick enough to take in another Thorns win at home. Non-stop rain and a hard win is really turning around the Thorns' season as they moved up to fourth place.

Just got back from 24 hours in Salt Lake City. The stadium was one surprise after another: good food, good facilities, fun atmosphere. About the only downside was it didn't feel like a crowded night, even though about 10,000 people attended the game.

Some random shots from tonight's game. PayPal Park is a great venue, with tons of good food and plenty for fans to do, and all the seats were comfy and padded to boot.
It wouldn't be a sports event in California if there wasn't

After days of calendar juggling, knowing I had a couple weekends of previous plans while also trying to stack up nearby stadiums into single weekends, I can get all the stadium visits completed before the NWSL takes their long break for the Olympics in July.

National Women's Soccer League isn't the most popular sport, but it's growing fast and when we attend a Portland Thorns game we do it with 25,000 people, where the atmosphere is absolutely electric. As longtime Thorns fans, we've occasionally traveled to
